Welcome to the web site of Amazing Concepts Software, the software consulting business of Jay F. Davis. I live and work in Atlanta, Georgia, and specialize in web-based entreprenurial solutions, especially e-commerce solutions and web applications. I have extensive experience in the LAMP architecture: Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP.
I provide value through custom e-commerce solutions. I offer extensive experience in online web sales using the industry-leading open-source tools osCommerce and Zen Cart. These products are free and mature e-commerce platforms that offer a huge bang for the buck.
My current focus is on entreprenurial projects. I seek start-up web-based businesses with whom I can partner to develop the critical e-commerce and web application portions of a business. Ideas that I lean toward are outdoors-related and community-building. I have three current entreprenurial projects:
birdJam is a company that specializes in making bird songs available to birders, primarily using Apple's iPod. I wrote the software that is the main product of birdJam.
Knitch is an online knitting store which sells luxury yarn, knitting and spinning supplies. I love the concept of this store and believe in the marketing strategy of the principal owner. And the shop in Atlanta is a cool place to hang out!
Big Fish Fulfillment is a fulfillment company focused on the knitting products market in the United States. We service designers and creatives who sell wholesale products to knitting stores.
